I know that i have been absent from the blog for awhile, but I haven't had much to say. Honestly, I have been working hard and doing everything in my power to get back on the field as soon as possible. Now that we have that our of the way...
I am very excited about the Cleats and Cocktails event in Oklahoma City (the REAL OC) on May 14th. For those that don't know, the foundation I started (Wes Welker Foundation; formerly the 83 Foundation) has an annual fundraiser to raise money for at-risk, inner-city youth athletics. This year, we are having Mike O'Malley from the hit show "Glee" as the MC! Other attendees are Matt Cassel, Mike Vrabel, Larry Izzo, Matt Light, and Tom Brady is on the fence!
I look forward to seeing everyone there on the 14th of May. I promise that it will be the thing to do in OKC, and it's for an awesome cause!
Speaking of my hometown, I'm so proud of our NBA team, the Thunder. I've had a chance to meet some of the guys, including KD, and they are a talented mix. I went to Game 5 here in LA to cheer them on. Next year,we'll get the Lakers!
